Portal using the IPB Forum

 

I need to upgrade my website to become a portal rather than a basic website. It needs to become much more member orientated. I would like to use the Invision Power Board for the main engine behind the portal as I have customised the forum and am very familiar with it's set up.

 

Currently my site looks like this http://www.goldearners.net

 

I've done a mock up of how the layout should look, you can see the example here:

But I don't have the correct skills to customise it beyond inserting links and other HTML tags.

 

What I need is the following:

 

1. A portal based on the layout given in the link above. You can download the IPB portal hack from here http://mods.ibplanet.com/db/?mod=2494 the portal then needs to be customised.

 

2. The current forum database needs to remain intact.

 

3. There needs to be a newsletter subscription box above where it currently says Board Navigation. The code for this will be provided

 

4. A long time ago I had a script made that helped me manage all the program listings. This script needs to be integrated into the portal on the front page. It will need to be modded slightly, mainly it will be getting rid of the code that I don't need. But a couple of things do need to be added, such as giving the members the chance to rate a program out of 10 and leaving comments.

 

5. You can install any skins or hacks that you think would work well with the portal from www.ibplanet.com

 

6. The portal will need the following extra pages:

- Exchangers

- Security

- Newbies

- DIY Investing

- Scams

- Mailing List

- Advertise

- Program Admins

- Private Programs

- About Us

- Contact Us

 

7. Any graphical work that you can provide like a set of banners/logos etc will also be considered.

 

8. Suggestions from the programmer on improvements or additions to the portal will be considered.

 

Anyone providing links of prior work with the IPB will get preference.

 

P.S.

Although I'm quite capable of installing pretty much any hack for IBP and running any SQL queries, I'm not much good when it comes to customisation.

 

Basically, I want to put what is on www.goldearners.net on to what I've done at www.abchyip.com/forum

 

With a few modifications of course.

 

There will be two seperate databases, one for the forum and one for the rating script. The rating script also needs to be modified.

 

Graphical design is also a bonus.

 

Please let me know if you think you would be able to do all points specified in the project description.

Суть в том, что человек хочет себе поставить сайт похожий на http://www.abchyip.com/forum но с некоторыми оговорками (см. описание). Кто может взяться написать такой хак? Ответьте как можно быстрее. Оплата по WM или PayPal. По PylPal сразу по завершении работ, по WM чуть позже, как переведу денюжку. В общем скажите стоимость и сроки как можно быстрее. Не хочется терять клиента.

можно попробовать. ИМХО долларов 80-90 стоить будет. Если только это и нужно сделать.,

дней 10 повозиться прийдется.

Чед хочет портал на IPB сделать. В качестве портала хочет использовать IPB portal. Говорит что база форума не должна можифицироваться. Т.е. для этого надо использовать другю базу. Есть субскрайб менеджер, который он хочет добавить на портал, хочет сделать комментарии и рейтинг сообщений как я понял, которые будут на портале. И левые страницки должный бать

Что касается модификаций рейтинга

The modifications needed for the rating script are:

 

- change the rating from out of 100 to 10

- Allow forum members to rate the program out of 10 (and it displays how many votest there have been)

- Users can select to rank the programs either by the rating, public votes or time online

- A change of layout and colours are needed for the listings.
