mod_rewrite и форум

Стоит сайт на Joomla, в ней включен mod_rewrite (очень корректно URL преобразует).

Поставил туда же форум в виде http://www.site.ru/forum

 

В итоге mod_rewrite срабатывает и на форум, в результате чего хрень какая-то получается.

 

Можно ли как-то отключить mod_rewrite для форума?

 

Предположил, что это можно сделать, кинув в корень форума .htaccess со строкой RewriteEngine Off Не помогло

надо в htaccess вбить, чтобы рерайт не распостранялся на директорию /forum
