Advanced Downloads for IPS4 gives administrators more control over downloads in the IPS Community Suite. Advanced Downloads integrates seamlessly into the Forums, Downloads, and Gallery applications. 

Features

Administrators can choose to display Advanced Download functionality only to everyone in your community, to specific groups of users, applied to specific forums and categories, and even display a custom error message to users without permission. All of these features can be restricted to each supported application individually. Forums and categories can be included or excluded, which makes configuration painless.

Users will be able to download attachments from forum posts, download file submissions, and gallery albums dynamically as one compressed ZIP archive with the click of a button, with very little memory overhead and no additional storage requirements. In the case of the Download application, users are presented with the ability to select specific files and download all of the selected files as a single compressed archive. In addition to the core functionality, layout and sorting customizations are also available.

In addition to the core functionality, several different options are available to customize the look and feel of your empty download categories. We've included a combined subcategories view, which displays a specific number of files from subcategories in a single view. We've also included a split subcategories view that displays a specific number of files from subcategories displayed separately under the subcategory headings. We've also included sort options for files within a download.

Requirements

Advanced Downloads requires the PHP popen() function.
Advanced Downloads is limited by the value of your PHP memory_limit. If your community has large downloads, you'll need to increase the memory_limit on your server to accomodate for larger files being compressed and served to your community.

Known Issues

Amazon Web Services (AWS) integration is not complete, and currently does not work. If you are using AWS to serve files, please wait until a future release to purchase Advanced Downloads.

This plugin was developed and tested on IPS 4.1.15.
